I actually bought this same shoe 15 years ago
as well as the black nubuck version and it took this long to
finally wear them out. You can't beat the black or brown
nubuck or oiled leather for good looks that resist rain and
scuffing, (these are my rain shoes). They also provide
excellent arch support, a comfortable footbed and a roomy
enough instep. The toe box is well designed for those who have
ingrown toenail issues (like me) and I can wear these shoes
both to and from my winter pedicures, even after a toe nail
polish, and still walk in style! At least 5 of my friends have
bought them after hearing this. I love 'um!
What was I waiting for? For years, I've looked
for the "right" shoe that did not cause aching feet after 12
hr nursing shifts. Since using the Dansko professional, my
feet have yet to ache after my long day's work. I have high
arches and weak ankles, which are sensitive to any ordinary
shoe. But with the Dansko Professional, my feet do not hurt.
The even distribution of body weight truly makes a difference
in my posture and walking; producing ache free feet. The shoe
has even boosted my sense of self confidence. I don't think
I'll ever use anything else, EVER!
As a flight attendant, I am on my feet many
hours per day. Prior to purchasing the Dansko shoe, I would
find myself "unwinding" in my hotel room by soaking my feet to
try and stop the burning, and then propping them up on the
headboard to try and stop the swelling. With the Dansko, ALL
of that has ceased! I no longer find that my feet hurt. I can
walk as many hours as needed, and on any surface that I
encounter, without even a hint of discomfort. I have high
arches, as well, and the Dansko shoe is just the perfect
